Asides from the fact that the entire add is HILLARIOUS, the whole thing looks funny. RL is one step closer to becoming like that Buffy musical episode. Except Microsoft is the demon. (I admit it, I LOLed when the guy said "...so it's easy to use?" riiiiiiiiight. Just like Vista is user friendly.)

....also today I learned where the 'it's awwwwright' line came from. And then worse things. I wish I could unsee it. Seriously, if you don't know already, you don't want to know.

1- In one year, I get to add a MD to my name. SIX YEARS DONE, ONE TO GO. Unlike other countries- like the US, where the first year resident is the intern- the last year student of med school is an intern. I get to make choices, I get paid (miserably, but still!), I have students to supervise/teach/terrorize, I have longer ER shifts (24 hours in some cases, I still don't know how I'm going to survive), I exist for the goverment and I can be sued (yeah, that one is a not so great part)

2- Oh, sweet, sweet internet, I've missed you. I shall never let you go. For the one month break I have, at least.

3- Skip 950?! Seriously, I knew I should have checked my flist more than four times in a month.

4- I have finally bought FF VII. STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT, I had never played it. Time to see if it lives up to the massive internet love.

5- My next year schedule? January 1st at 7:00 am to December 31 6:00 pm. Interns do not get vacations. Or sleep. Note to self: sleep while you can.

6- Stuff I still need to do: catch up on flist, catch up on sleep, rejoice over not having to deal with hormonal pregnant teenagers and their boyfriends/mothers anymore, catch up with fandom, work on thesis, work on academic project, present papers to faculty, send email to teacher, buy christmas presents before december, change layout, change icons, discover what the hell that unnamed red button on the car does.

...yes, I have slept only three hours in the past few days. I shun coherence. And grammar.

1- My lj is soon getting lots of changes, from looks to content. Mostly because there's been a lot of changes lately in my life. Good ones.

2- I have decided on a specialty and I'm a month away of finishing sixth year. After that, one year and I get to have M.D. after my name.

3- Finally, after three years, I'm starting to feel the need to write again. To draw again. This is positive. Also, an urge to to hundreds of DIY projects.

4- I've been away from the computer and the internet for waaaaay too long. I made it to 'skip 550' on my flist. So if anything important happened, here's why I missed it.

5- I'm behind in sooooooo many fandoms, what should I watch/read next?

Okay, so I'm okay, I finnaly decided what my specialty will be, life goes fairly well (with the usual black cloud, but what can you do). But tomorrow I'll be 24. Oh, I like birthdays... mostly. I just have terrible luck with them (and no, it's not self fullfilling, I tried). The day might go fantastic and then be ruined in seconds, I've accepted this.

This is the most amazing and surprising costume I've ever seen in a long time (plus I'm sure it was extremely fun to wear). Even if you don't like Doctor Who, you need to check this because it's an awesome costume. I'm sure all the cosplayers in my flist will like the fact that there's photos for the whole process.

I'm way too tired to answer any memes right now, plus someone will be going <_< if I don't get enough sleep.

My brother is always (as I am) sending me one line mails with funny or interesting links. The latest is this fic/rpg-like blog of [SPOILER]Doctor. It deserves reccing because it's really funny at times. (And, as I side effect,  I'm desperately looking for the mp3 to 'I hate Mondays' by the Boomtown Rats)

But the thing that actually bears blogging about? Not only have I dragged my dearest brother into a fandom: he is reading fanfiction.

I blame this on spending the past twenty hours first stitching drunk people and then watching Star Treck and Doctor Who

You know what would make for an awesome fic? The Doctor (Doctor Who) and the Doctor ((Emergency Medical Hologram, ST:Voyager) talking. And even better: The doctor (Who) and Q (ST:TNG) arguing. Somebody please tell such fic exists either that or someone write it now

This post in general makes me happy. Music and geek all in one. I have zero musical skills, but I adore when people who are good at it play movie/games stuff. If you like classic games or movies even a bit, check it out.

This wins as crackiest video of the week. It has weird indian pseudo story and someone is on drugs. it also ends in tentacle porn Yes, that is Natalie Portman. And extremely cracky subtitles. And- trust me- the song in spanish is no less cracky.

I've been working 13 hours shifts for the past three days. OH MY GOD I MISSED SEEING SUNLIGHT.

Another three tomorrow. Then ER shift on Thursday. Do not study medicine unless you are 1) A masochist 2) Against sleep 3) Completely insane. EDIT: 4) Not evil. There's enough evil doctors out there already.

This is a good example on why some people shouldn't have children.

But, on a positive note, I just spent an hour watching this and loved every minute of it.

Also, any idea where I can download that song from the 'I love the whole world'? I can't get it out of my head and I'm starting to hum it while stitching patients. It makes me smile and they think I'm evil for grinning while closing a wound. Uh, nevermind that is actually pretty cool to do.

I've recced my favorite Batman gen fics here. I suggest you check the comm, as they are having a guest reccer month of neglected fandoms.

Also, I'm considering getting an annoying plus account just to get more icon space. Mmmh.
