Well, I was writing a scene with Yue and Cerberus, talking... and Yue driving Cerberus mad by being... well, Yue. Suddenly, Cerberus started rambling to himself about how Yue was inclined to mood swings... and my serious fluff (seriously fluffy and fluffily serious) suddenly switched to humor.
Sakura was behaving strangely. Actually, she was scaring her family and most of the inhabitants of Tomoeda. Considering that maybe he was giving her too little attention, Fujitaka Kinomoto changed his schedule so he could spend the afternoons with his children. Apparently, it worked and she went back to be the nice girl she was.
And they all thought things would go back to normal.
It was exactly a month later that Touya made the mistake of eating the last piece of strawberry cake. It was just a usual thing between brother and sister, but this time, instead of pouting and stomping on his foot, Sakura started to scream. Vague retorts from Touya were ignored or verbally crushed and soon it was very apparent that, for the first time in her life, Sakura was pissed.
Cerberus was not impressed by her screams, or by her stare. From the moment that the idea of having a new master had sink in, he had been prepared. Sakura was not Clow. They had very different personalities and, most importantly, Sakura was a girl. Girls were different than men. Girls grew up to be women. And women, if all of Clow acquaintances and family had ever taught him anything, were not so easy to deal with.
And some days of the month, women were dangerous.
It was a good thing then, that Cerberus had lived most of his life with someone who had monthly cycles of power. And- even if Yue would firmly deny it- monthly mood swings.
“Here, you can have mine. I’m not really hungry”
As he passed his -large- piece of chocolate cake to Sakura, he noticed the horrified expression on both Fujitaka and Touya’s faces. They both knew strawberry was her favorite and chocolate wouldn’t do. But Cerberus knew better.
Contrary to popular belief, Yue ate. Or at least he had sometimes in the past and now the snow bunny filled that particular requirement. Occasionally, he ate chocolate. To be more precise, he ate chocolate every new moon.
“Thank you! You are so nice Kero-chan!”
Cerberus smiled.
Touya, for his part, simply decided he was going crazy: the monster was acting more like a monster than ever and the plushy was giving up food. If Yuki started a diet then it would be the unmistakable sign of the Apocalypse.
A month afterwards, he understood what was happening with his little sister. And realized that the apocalypse would have been gentler with him. At least that wouldn’t happen twelve times a year.

Oh, and I’m an idiot. I just found out that opening a few ports on my firewall reduces the download speed from sixteen hours to five. Five. Why do I only learn this now, when FMA it’s by its 44th episode?
